You’ll need

  • 1 oz (30 ml) rye whiskey
  • 1 oz (30 ml) cognac
  • 1 oz (30 ml) sweet vermouth
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) bénédictine
  • 2 dashes peychaud's bitters
  • 2 dashes angostura bitters
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist, to garnish

Served in a SHOSHIN hand-cut rocks glass.

How to make it

  1. Grab a mixing glass and a SHOSHIN hand-cut rocks glass.
  2. Fill the mixing glass with ice (about 5 cubes).
  3. Pour 1 oz of rye whiskey into the mixing glass.
  4. Pour 1 oz of cognac into the mixing glass.
  5. Pour 1 oz of sweet vermouth into the mixing glass.
  6. Pour 1 tsp of bénédictine into the mixing glass.
  7. Add 2 dashes of peychaud's bitters into the mixing glass.
  8. Add 2 dashes of angostura bitters into the mixing glass.
  9. Stir with ice for about 20 seconds, until very cold.
  10. Add one large ice cube to the glass.
  11. Strain into the SHOSHIN hand-cut rocks glass.
  12. Garnish with a lemon twist.
